About

We paddle on the River Severn in Bridgnorth on Wednesday nights from April to September, as well as on a variety of rivers in England and Wales throughout the year.

We welcome complete beginners right through to experienced paddlers; our coaches can introduce you to paddlesport on a safe but interesting stretch of river, while club trips cater for a wide range of abilities.

Have a look at our galleries to get a flavour of our paddling and then Contact us.

So what do we do on a Wednesday night?

Our Wednesday night sessions can provide something for everyone. The club has a range of kayaks and canoes and we also have paddles, buoyancy aids and helmets available to be borrowed during the evening to get you started, all you need to bring is a towel, clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet and a dry set to change into. Refreshments and snacks are also a good idea.

We charge £5 but this is deducted from your membership fee if you subsequently join.

Our coaches run introductory and training sessions on club nights.  For those who just like a gentle paddle, we are based on the River Severn so you can paddle as far up the river as you can (and back!) before it gets dark. To improve paddling skills, we also play games, and below the bridge, there are some useful eddies to work on.
